In Loving Memory of Kathleen Diane Heavens
September 23, 1953 – September 11, 2025
It is with complete heartache and deep sadness that we announce the sudden passing of an amazing mother and Nana, Kathleen (Kathy) Heavens, who left this world on September 11, 2025, at her home in Wilton, CA, at the age of 71. She was a spirited soul with a heart of gold, guided by a free spirit’s beliefs and an incredible taste in music.
Kathy was an extraordinary woman whom I was honored to call Mom. As a mother, she was my first teacher, my fiercest protector, and my greatest cheerleader. She taught us how to love, how it felt to truly be loved, and how to “get out there and have fun!”
As a Nana, her love only grew deeper. She filled her grandchildren’s lives with joy, stories, hugs, and homemade treats — always present with an open heart and a warm smile. Her legacy lives on in the kindness she showed, the insight she offered, and the traditions she passed down.
She touched the lives of everyone she met — whether through her welcoming spirit, her sense of humor, or the way she made even the smallest moments feel special.
She leaves behind her daughter, Jaime Morrow (Chris); her sons, Shawn Heavens (Madeira) and Parrish Heavens; and her greatly loved grandchildren — Hunter, Rylee, Emily, Jacob, Joel, Josh, and Bethany. She is also survived by her brother, Larry (Cindy) Bogue; nieces, nephews; and a host of dear friends who loved her deeply.
She is reunited with her son, Eric Heavens; her parents, Glen and Betty Bogue; her aunts, Lena Bartlett and Katherine Stambuk; and her daughter-in-law, Susan Heavens.
Though our hearts are heavy, we find comfort in knowing you are no longer in pain and that your love will always live on through us.
We love you, Mom. We love you, Nana.
Per her request a private graveside service will be held on Tuesday, October 7th at 2:00 p.m. at St. Mary Cemetery in Sacramento, CA.
“Though I know I’ll never lose affection for people and things that went before, I know I’ll often stop and think about them… in my life, I love you more.” – John Lennon
