Dcn. Anthony Pescetti

May 2, 1951 – December 5, 2024

It is with great sorrow that we announce the unexpected passing of Anthony Pescetti on December 5, 2024, at the age of 73.

Anthony lived a full and vibrant life focused on public service.  From his time as a California State Assemblyman, serving as a Deacon in several parishes throughout the Sacramento area, to leading a team of lobbyists for an international software company, he was passionate about making a difference in the community and impacting the lives of those he mentored. His most prized titles however were husband, dad, grandfather, and friend.  His most treasured time was spent with his wife Kathy as well as attending sporting events of his 4 grandchildren every weekend.  He was a proud husband, father, grandfather, and friend. Those who remember Anthony will remember his sense of humor, warm smile, generous heart, and unwavering faith in God.

Anthony is survived by his wife Kathy of 47 years, their children Sarina (Bryan) and Anthony, 4 grandchildren Joseph (15), Kate (13), Ethan (12), Carter (10), his Father Joe and Sisters Joann (Tony) and Roseanne.  He was preceded in death by his mother Nancy, Mother-in-Law Joyce, Father-in Law Robert, and Brother-in-Law Bobby.

A celebration of life will be held 10:00am Wednesday January 15, 2025 at Presentation of the Blessed Virgin Mary Sacramento with Monsignor John Barry celebrating and concelebrants Bishop Jaime Soto, Fr. Scott Santarosa S.J., and Fr. Bernardin Mugabo. A Committal Ceremony will follow at Calvary Cemetery and Funeral Center.

Rosary Vigil 7pm Tuesday, January 14, 2025, at Presentation of the Blessed Virgin Mary Parish, Sacramento.
